The Old Post Office

Families and groups of up to six will find The Old Post Office works well as a base. The house spreads across three floors with four bedrooms—a kingsize with ensuite on the top floor, a double on the first, and two singles—plus a family bathroom and shower room. Bed linen and towels come as standard, along with wi-fi and heating throughout.

The ground floor opens onto a rear courtyard with garden furniture, accessed through French doors from the kitchen-diner. You can cook properly here (electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher), or walk the few yards to the village inn. The lounge has an electric woodburner and smart TV. The house sits on the village green in North Yorkshire, within reach of both the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and close to Thirsk, Ripon and Boroughbridge. There is on-road parking outside. Smoking is not permitted inside.
