Vinca Cottage occupies a semi-detached stone building from the early 1800s, positioned on a small street with direct access to village amenities—a shop, two pubs, and a tearoom run by locals. The cottage itself spreads across two floors with original beamed ceilings and open stonework lending period texture to the rooms.

Three bedrooms accommodate five guests: a king on the first floor, two singles on the first floor, and a further single upstairs. Downstairs, the living and dining space centres on an inglenook fireplace ideal for cooler evenings; a separate sitting room with freeview television offers a retreat for different interests. The kitchen is equipped to handle self-catering with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. An enclosed rear garden with patio and furniture provides outdoor space, with bike storage on site and parking in the adjacent pub car park. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; wood for the burner comes with your arrival. No smoking throughout.

Within four miles, Scarborough delivers traditional seaside days—sandy bays, the Rotunda Museum and open-air theatre. Closer to hand, the Cinder Track leads cycling routes towards Whitby, and Peasholm Park stages its famous summer lake battles. A local bus connects cottage to town centre and beach.
