Commondale is a small village in the North York Moors, centred around a local pub within walking distance. The Esk Valley railway line runs through it, connecting Middlesbrough and Whitby, with the station a 15-minute walk away. Whitby Apartment occupies the ground floor of the Old Schoolhouse, a red brick conversion that now contains four holiday lets.
The apartment is arranged on one level, with a double bedroom and ensuite shower room at one end. The living space combines a sitting area with an electric fire, a dining table by the window, and a kitchen fitted with an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Everything needed for cooking is here. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are provided. A shared utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer is available to guests. One dog is welcome if kept on a lead, as the surrounding area is sheep country. No smoking is permitted. The front of the building opens onto a small communal garden with a bench and views across the moorland. Private parking for one car is on site. Check-in is from 17:00 and checkout before 10:00.
