About Holiday Inn Rugby Northampton M1 Jct 18
Holiday Inn Rugby Northampton M1 Jct 18 is a purpose-built two-storey hotel at Crick, designed with motorway travellers in mind rather than period charm. Its 90 rooms are straightforward and modern, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and space to relax after a day on the road, with family and accessible rooms also available.
Beyond the bedrooms, guests have access to an indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna, useful for unwinding rather than just passing through. A restaurant and bar cover breakfast, kids' meals and evening dining, with breakfast in particular a strong point, and room service and laundry facilities add convenience for longer stays or business trips. Meeting rooms and business services make it a practical stop for work as well as leisure, and there's a garden and outdoor seating for quieter moments.
Free on-site parking is provided, though some guests have been caught out by parking fines, so it's worth checking the terms on arrival. Pets are welcome, and pubs and restaurants nearby give options beyond the hotel itself. It suits anyone breaking a journey on the M1 who wants comfortable, no-fuss surroundings with proper facilities attached.

Why the poor reviews? This place is lovely. First of all I enjoyed the drive in, surrounded by farmland, solar and wind farms. Then on arrival an accommodating young man helped me when I didn't know how to work the heating. Then I went to gym and pool, again a great staff member who motivated me to actually get in the pool. So glad I did, nice n warm, towel and locker token provided. Changing rooms modern. Gender segregated sauna (which is good imo) looks near new and was a great experience. Some of the gym gear is older but if you know gyms, you know they don't make it like they used to and I had a better workout here than in my local brand new fancy pants everything. The gym at this hotel has a big range of equipment too (weights machines and cardio as well as free weights). The room itself looks freshly painted to me. The carpets are clean and the room smells neutral. The hairdryer is powerful, there are phone charging sockets next to the bed, plenty of plug sockets in the room. Window opens and closes easily. I can see Crick church from the window. The bathroom is basic and refurbished and clean, plenty of hot water and power from the shower. I slept well. The only thing I would change if I stay again is premium room as the standard double is too small to lay a yoga mat down comfortably... But if you don't want to do that, no problem. The staff work very hard, the hotel itself is clean, warm, and bright. I went for a walk. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to local co-op in Crick if you need anything. Carry on 10-15 minutes further and you're at the garden centre, canal, woodland, hilly views, and you've passed two pubs and a car boot sale enroute. I would stay again.

Red haired, middle-age lady at reception a little unfriendly....... We politely asked if room with two single beds was available - she said "no there was no rooms left with two beds". She was very definite in her tone. We then went to room - checked online and then to our surprise - found usual sites showing a room with single beds. So we returned to reception, then a lovely gentleman with blond hair and a colourful shirt, helped her find a room with single beds. He was warm professional and friendly, yet she was cold and serious. I have no idea why this woman lied to us, and why, she was unhelpful, but it was strange for sure. She wasn't friendly from the start and probably not the right person to welcome guests as her default position is a tad cold, unhelpful, and not very welcoming! It amazes me there is people in the world like this. I

I stopped in to charge my car late at night. The kitchen was closed, but Freddy on reception was kind enough to make me a sandwich. It was a damn good sandwich too. It was a short stay but fantastic service from Craig and Freddy. The chargers are good too, worked with my octopus rfid card. Just make sure you register your car in the hotel.

We're only on our first night at the Holiday Inn Rugby, but I wanted to leave a review already because Anna has been absolutely fantastic. Her warm, attentive, and professional approach has made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She is a real credit to the team and has already made our stay extra special. Looking forward to spending the rest of the weekend here.
