Waren Caravan and Camping Park
Waren Mill, Bamburgh NE70 7EE, UK
Coastal park above Budle Bay with views to Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island
About Waren Caravan and Camping Park
Waren spreads across 100 sheltered acres above Budle Bay, two miles from Bamburgh, with views that stretch from the castle turrets in the south to Holy Island in the north and the Cheviots inland. The higher terraces deliver the best panoramas over the bay itself, a nature reserve that draws waders and wildfowl through autumn and winter. Pitches range from grass and hardstanding to fully serviced plots for tents, tourers and motorhomes, plus wigwam cabins and static hire, and facilities run deeper than most Northumberland coastal sites: heated toilet block with family rooms, laundry, licensed shop, games room, bar-restaurant, play area and a heated outdoor splash pool for the main season.
The location puts Bamburgh beach an hour's shore walk at low tide or a short drive, Holy Island fifteen minutes north and Seahouses harbour ten minutes south for Farne Islands boats. Budle Bay invites low-tide strolls, though the sands are soft and the tide floods quickly. The park sits exposed like the whole coast, so decent pegs and windbreaks are wise, and late July onwards fills fast. Some guests note the site can feel a little tired in places, but the views and access hold strong appeal. Touring pitches start around £24 in low season, rising for services and peak weeks.

What visitors say
Stayed for a week in June. Site was quiet and very peaceful with large pitch. Lovely well stocked shop, shower and toilets very clean and plenty of hot water. Pool and bar looked great but didn't use. Loads of lovely walks and great location for visiting local area. Highly recommended.

Just had a weekend on a touring pitch with our 2 daughters 5 and 1. We all had a lovely time. Park is spacious, clean and well set out. Our 5 year old has been outside the whole time making friends and playing on the parks and outside pool. She has had a blast and is already pestering us to rebook. Lots of children and friendly families all having fun! There is a separate tent field and adults only pitches as well. Onsite takeaway doing fresh homemade pizzas kebabs and Hotdogs. Well stocked shop and bar/restuarant onsite too. This is going to be our regular go to site now.

Its a lovely setting, nice toilets and showers but that's your lot, the wifi is pay as you go and ridiculous price. The heated pool isn't even open! The shop is pricy and the pitches are lumpy and uneven. We wont be returning. Sad really because it has great potential.
