Beadnell Sand Dunes works well for couples or small families wanting a straightforward seaside base. The two bedrooms sleep four: one has a double bed, the other two singles in a bunk arrangement. There is one shower room. The ground floor has a living room with Freeview Smart TV and a kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook as much or as little as you choose. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. The property is non-smoking, and one dog is welcome.
You are roughly 800 yards from Beadnell Bay's sandy beach, popular for swimming and watersports including sailing and sea kayaking. Parking for one car sits on the property itself. A mile north, Seahouses has a working harbour with boat trips to the Farne Islands; further along you'll find Bamburgh village and its castle. Inland, Alnwick offers both a castle and the Alnwick Garden with its record-breaking tree house. The village has a shop and pub. There are steps in the grounds and you arrive after 5pm, departing by 11am.

Great for a swim. Nice enclosed part of the coast, where other beaches in the area can get a bit too expansive.

Huge beach with windswept dunes. Had an almost 2 hour walk along this beach and headland in glorious sunshine with a freezing northerly April wind. Follow the coastal path for miles if you need more of the outdoors in coastal Northumberland, it's Grand !
