Cranesbill

Bamburgh Castle and the beach are a short drive away, and the Northumberland coast path runs close by for walking. Cranesbill itself occupies a quiet spot on the edge of the village, built into a quarry with views across the stone faces and towards the castle beyond. It's a contemporary detached house where everything happens on the ground floor: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living space all without stairs to climb.

The main living area is open-plan, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the quarry on one side and castle views on the other. A wood burner sits ready for cooler evenings, and the kitchen is fully fitted for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer all there. Three bedrooms sleep six: a kingsize with its own shower room and heated towel rail, another kingsize, and a twin with a television. A second family shower room serves the other two bedrooms. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included; logs for the burner come with the booking.

Outside there's a small garden with seating and space for bicycles, plus parking for two cars. Smoking is not permitted. The property suits families or groups wanting straightforward comfort near the Northumberland coast without having to navigate multiple floors.
