Darling Cottage is a mid-terrace property built from stone, one of several converted farm buildings in the hamlet of East Burton. The cottage sits down a single-track lane where traffic is sparse, with countryside views to the south and west, and clear sightlines east across open ground towards Bamburgh Castle and the sea beyond. The RNLI Grace Darling Museum is nearby, and the village of Bamburgh itself—dominated by its castle—lies just over a mile away.
The ground floor holds a living room with a wood burner, a separate dining room with French doors opening onto an enclosed patio garden with south-facing sundeck, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and ensuite shower, the other with a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as a kingsize or split into singles. There is a second bathroom on the first floor. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all included, along with initial fuel for the wood burner and a welcome pack.
A private parking space and electric car charging point (charged separately to the owner) come with the property. One pet may stay free. The cottage is non-smoking and is yours for the duration of your stay.
