Miles of safe off-road walking begin minutes from Honeypot Cottage, with Cragside accessible on foot from the rear and a guide to local dog-friendly routes provided. Rothbury, with its cafés, bars and shops, lies within driving distance. The cottage itself sits on a hillside above Morpeth, offering views across the town from its tiered garden and raised seating area.
This converted space spreads across two floors and sleeps five. Ground floor holds the main living areas—open-plan with a woodburner, Smart TV and games console—plus a bedroom with zip-and-link beds (configurable as super king or twin) and a bathroom with both walk-in shower and separate bath. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, one a kingsize and one a single, served by another full bathroom. Two bedrooms have Smart TVs and Alexa speakers. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and essentials including linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are covered. Initial logs for the burner come with the booking.
The garden is terraced with outdoor furniture and a barbecue for summer use, though it is not fully fenced. One dog stays free, and a welcome pack includes extras for pets. Parking for two cars is on site. No smoking inside.

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Four of us had four nights there and really enjoyed ourselves. We would happily go again.
