I had the pleasure of visiting Lambley Farm Cottages recently, and it was a brilliant experience from start to finish. The owner, Jim, is an incredible host. He is exceptionally welcoming and clearly takes great pride in the property and the surrounding area. His hospitality made us feel right at home immediately, and his local knowledge is a huge asset to anyone visiting the region. The location itself is breathtaking. The cottages are set against some of the most beautiful landscapes in the South Tyne valley. Whether you are looking for a peaceful spot to relax, a base for a group gathering, or a prime location for salmon fishing, this is the place to be. The views of the river and the historic Lambley Viaduct are world-class and provide a perfect backdrop for a getaway. If you want a stay that combines stunning natural beauty with a warm, genuine welcome, I highly recommend Lambley Farm Cottages. It’s a hidden gem that I can’t wait to return to. Thanks again, Jim!

Went for a 60th birthday surprise. Great location, sweet little courtyard, house could do with a bit of updating, lots of extension boards, mismatch of crockery, no chopping boards. Lampshade on side table kept on with blue tac, downstairs en-suite bathroom toilet out of order owner informed they were waiting for plumber coming out to fix broken valve may arrive next day but didn't.heating was not working on arrival we contacted owner and he came promptly and fixed it took a while to warm up but was great eventually.downstairs bedrooms did not smell very nice from what must have been from heating oil tank. We didnt use jacuzzi so cannot comment, lovely view from decking area, but could have done with a good clean decking furniture green with algae. had a good sleep as beds very comfortable with clean sheets on, mattress protector had old blood stains on which should just not happen, no soap in our bathroom. We made it a good joyfull weekend with good friends.

This has to be worst cottage we have stayed in. Arrived to no heating on, no lighting outside so could not see where you were going. electric switch covered in tape, the jets in the hot tub were not working properly, the toilet in downstairs bedroom was out of action ,as the push button was hanging off the wall. You couldn`t turn the radiators off downstairs, unless you used a spoon. The outside area was neglected and outside seating well past its sell by date. Kitchen needed upgrading. No blinds on bedroom window and the one blind that was there didn`t work. Underwear and tights left in bedroom drawer from previous occupants. Then to top it all we had a infestation of flies in 2 of the bedrooms. When we opened the window there were hundreds of flies came in . Think something must have been dead on the roof for that many flies. Only saw the owner once, and that was because we had to ring him to get the heating put on. When he was told about the toilet, his reply was " you have another 5 to use ". On some sites they classed as luxury cottages, that is definitely a lie. They might have been, many years ago ,but not now.
