Turnstone occupies the first floor of a historic malthouse that's been reimagined as holiday accommodation. The building itself carries its past—a working malthouse once—but the interior is thoroughly modern. Everything happens on one level: a bright kitchen with a full range of appliances flows into a dining and living space where two sofas face a Smart TV, and two kingsize bedrooms sit either side of the main bathroom. The first bedroom has an ensuite with a walk-in shower. What you get includes wifi, heating, bed linen and towels; there's also a welcome pack and private parking for one car.

Chathill sits on the Northumberland coast, within reach of Haven House and the wider attractions of the region. The cottage suits couples or families wanting a self-catering base with proper facilities—a dishwasher and washer-dryer mean you can travel light—and enough space that you're not on top of each other. No smoking in the property.
