Alnwick sits on the edge of Northumberland's 20-mile coastline, a market town with castles, gardens and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Twizell Cottage is an end-terrace house on a quiet backstreet, a short step from the front door into a living room with comfortable seating and streaming services. The open-plan kitchen and dining area has everything needed to cook, or you can head out to eat locally. Two bedrooms upstairs—one kingsize, one with two singles—share a family bathroom with shower.

Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided. One car parks adjacent to the cottage; there's a small paved area at the back but no garden. A few minutes' walk away, Swansfiled Park offers space for a dog (pets stay free here), and longer walks and cycle routes branch out across the region. Alnwick Castle featured in the Harry Potter films, and Alnwick Gardens houses the world's largest tree house. The coast itself—with golden sands and fishing spots—is within reach for a day out.
