A four-room B&B by the River Wensum in Norwich, close to the Cathedral, pubs and restaurants for an easy city break.

About 1 Riverside Apartments

Norwich Cathedral is within easy reach of 1 Riverside Apartments, and the River Wensum runs close by, making this a handy base for exploring the city on foot. Local pubs, restaurants and eateries are all nearby, with golf and fishing also within reach for anyone wanting to venture slightly further afield.

The property itself is a small B&B with four rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and a kitchen for guests who prefer to cater for themselves. Rooms come with drinks provided, and free WiFi runs throughout. Reception is staffed around the clock, so arrival times are flexible whatever your travel plans.

It's a straightforward, well-placed option rather than a grand one, with a rating that reflects a generally solid but unremarkable stay. For anyone wanting to be close to Norwich's cathedral quarter and riverside without paying for extras they won't use, it does the job.

If you are looking for a conveniently located, budget place to stay in Central Norwich, this is a good option. A 10 minute walk to the Lanes area of town, right by the river, the apartment's location is ideal to explore this beautiful city. It is relatively clean though the decor is a little tired and the bed was not all that comfortable. However the small kitchenette had everything you needed to reheat a simple meal, with a microwave, toaster and kettle and crockery and cutlery. There is also a bigger shared kitchen on the ground floor with an oven and hob. Would I stay there again? Yes but if I wanted to celebrate a special occasion, I would probably want to book a room at one of the more exclusive venues in the city centre.

I certainly recommend the hotel. Good location, value for money. One special note for the Customer Service Team. I'm very impressed with the customer service team. Once, I had to cancel the booking at the last moment due to a personal situation. The hotel had no legal obligation to give me the refund. However, the customer service team was kind enough to consider my case. I got the refund.

Ideal place to stay for a couple of days in norwich. Only a couple of minutes from train station. A short walk to shops and sights. I wouldnt say this accommodation was deluxe or superior but was clean and tidy. The beds were comfy. Price was good.
