About Broadview Hotel

Norwich sits within easy reach of Broadview Hotel, which is based on the University of East Anglia campus rather than in the city centre itself. It's a practical spot for anyone visiting the university or wanting a quieter, greener setting outside the main town, with Wroxham Barns also nearby as a point of interest.

The hotel has 62 rooms, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms, complimentary in-room drinks, and the usual kettle and hairdryer essentials. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, though some can suffer from noise, so light sleepers may want to bear that in mind. Facilities include a lift, 24-hour reception, free WiFi, breakfast, luggage storage, and an indoor swimming pool, plus free on-site parking for those arriving by car.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the hotel is generally seen as good value for money. Nearby amenities include a pub, restaurant, golf course, and fishing, giving guests a few options beyond the campus itself. It works well as a straightforward, no-frills base for visiting Norwich and the surrounding area.

This hotel is very convenient for visiting the university, be it for a gig at the LCR or for a graduation ceremony. Although the room isn't huge, it's clean and you get towels and a hairdryer. The location is very central to the uni, and therefore close to the action, so very light sleepers might want to pack some earplugs. I forgot mine, but still got to sleep fine though. There is no Aircon but a fan was provided. The staff are BRILLIANT. Very friendly and they were able to sort out an issue I created for myself when booking. Absolutely not their fault but they helped fix it anyway.

A very good 3 star hotel. It's well positioned if your trip is related to the University. Room facilities are good. Reception staff excellent. My only negative is the shower when used wets the whole bathroom/toilet towels area etc, so one needs to plan accordingly.

It's convenient if you're visiting the university. But other than that, there are no positives. The shower area is very small and wets the entire bathroom. There is zero sound proofing and you can hear your neighbours or anyone in the corridor. There is aTV which has no channels or apps. Their wifi will remind you of dial-up modem days, so painfully slow. I visited in the summer and the room was basically a sauna. If you can spare 20 min to take a bus ride, you're better off staying in the Norwich city.

Had an absolute nightmare when coming back from the concert at around 11:00pm. Got to the hotel with our key card, swiped the 24hr door to get in and it wouldn’t accept our card. Tried to ring the numbers on the help sign, one number doesn’t work and the other number no one would pick up. It then said on the info sheet if there’s any issues go to the security lodge. The lodge is a blue door tucked away with a A4 sized sign. A lovely security guard came down and let us back into the hotel. Not ideal when in the 2nd trimester of your pregnancy in the freezing cold, late night bursting for the loo. The bed is only suitable for 1 person, very uncomfortable when you’ve been laying in it for more than 10 minutes. The rooms have 0 sound proofing so you can hear everything. Lighting is like an operating theatre. Can’t fault the location of the hotel. Room is very basic small uni accommodation but clean.
