Staying at the Oaklands Hotel was a genuinely lovely experience from start to finish. The staff stand out immediately. Welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help without being overbearing, which makes the whole stay feel relaxed and easy. The food is absolutely beautiful, both in presentation and taste. Every meal feels thoughtfully prepared, with real attention to flavour and quality rather than just standard hotel dining. What really surprised me most was the location. It has such a peaceful, almost secluded feel that you completely forget you’re in Norwich at all. It gives you that “getaway” feeling without having to travel far, which makes it ideal for a short break or a relaxing stay. Overall, it’s the kind of place you leave already thinking about when you might come back.

We came for a late lunch yesterday for my birthday. The service was great but the food was a bit disappointing. The fish and chips was good, burger wasnt bad but the turkey roast was a let down. The food was warm at best. The roasties were too hard on the outside to cut through. Nothing had much taste and the turkey wasnt great quality as it was a bit fatty and veiny. A real shame. But the servers were really friendly and the card and sweets were a nice touch 😊

We attended a wedding on Friday. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Food was great, although I didn’t manage anything from the buffet as we were still full from our day food. I would 100% anyone to get married here! We decided to stay the night, saves money on a taxi back. Room was perfect, nice and fresh and lovely decor! Didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast, but others said it was good. I heard about fantastic sausages! Would recommend and get married myself again if I wasn’t already!

My partner and I stayed here for easter Sunday in one of the suites in the garden area. The room was lovely with a large lounge with a nice sofa and big TV on the wall. seperate large bedroom with a very comfortable large double bed and lovely bathroom with seperate bath and shower. We also had a big balcony sun terrace. The apartment was very clean and to be honest we were very impressed. We went for a roast in the restaurant and it was very nice. The hotel was very busy as they had a wedding function on in a marquee in the garden also a soul gig on in the bar area it was very good. They were doing 241 cocktails which were lovely. The whole of our stay was lovely with a delicious full breakfast the Monday morning. All of the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and professional. We would highly recommend this hotel and we had a lovely time especialy for what we payed. I would like to thank all the staff at the oaklands Hotel for their hard work they put in to making our stay so pleasurable well done to Marcus Pearcey the owner for running such a nice pleasant good value hotel. We couldn't fault.
