I loved it. I cycled through the reserve and my favorite spot was the Kingfisher hideout where one could see different swans, ducks and some other birds whose names–I don't know–swooping in and out of view. A beautiful place to explore if you are a fan of nature

Attenborough Nature Reserve is one of my favourite nature reserves in the country. The cafe and gift shop are lovely and fully accessible for wheelchairs. All of the trails are wheelchair friendly but some of the hides, such as Tower Hide, are only accessible by stairs. However, there is a lovely spot next to the hide at groud level where you get a similar view to the view from the hide. At this time of year there are a lot of insects to see. There are still a lot of birds but I got better photos of insects on this visit. There is a big car park and an overspill car park. It's also close to bus routes and a train station. Food is a little more expensive than you might expect but it's my understanding that the place is run by volunteers and buying from the cafe and gift shop helps to keep the reserve so beautifully maintained. I'll try to update this review with seasonal photos at some point.

Is it possible to fall in love with a place in seconds? Because I think I just did. 💚 I recently visited Attenborough Nature Reserve, and "beautiful" doesn’t even begin to cover it. It honestly feels like heaven on earth. From the mirror-like waters to the incredible wildlife, it’s a masterclass in peace and serenity. If you haven't been yet, add it to the top of your bucket list immediately. Trust me, your soul will thank you. 🌾👇 Have you ever been? What's your absolute favorite spot there?

Wowee 1st visit , highly recommend this gem , well done to everyone involved past present and thr future absolutely fantastic so much to take in , outstanding. Car park good prices, visitors center stunning, clean tidy, good facilities, I didn't visit the cafe today but it was very busy, gift shop very good . Walks excellent good trails well marked, great information boards to read x absolutely fantastic the wildlife incredible looking forward to many more visits, I walked solo all safe and secure x well done to Nottinghamshire wildlife trust x cheers nicki t
