About Castle Sween Caravan Park
Tucked along the shores of Loch Sween in remote Argyll, this family-run park offers rental caravans with genuinely spectacular views - you can gaze across the water to the Isle of Danna, Loch Keils and the Sound of Jura, with the atmospheric ruins of Castle Sween punctuating the foreground. The two- and three-bedroom static vans are modern 12ft-wide models, well equipped with TV lounges, full kitchens (cooker, fridge, ample cupboards), and bathrooms with showers. Electricity, gas and linen are all included, making it hassle-free for first-timers.
Centrally positioned near reception, Rafters restaurant and bar serves hearty meals, and there's an on-site shop for essentials. Beyond the park, the Knapdale peninsula rewards with sailing, fishing and coastal walks, though mobile signal can be patchy and facilities, while functional, feel a touch dated in places. Still, the setting and welcome more than compensate.

What visitors say
Had a great week at Castle Sween, one of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed. It would almost be eerily quiet if it wasn't for the abundant wildlife. All the staff I spoke to were immediately friendly, and the food and service in Rafters restaurant was really good. Knapdale is a beautiful part of the country.

A really good, well maintained holiday park in a beautiful setting. Good facilities including Rafters restaurant and bar, playing fields, the gym and the shop. Everyone we've spoken to onsite is really friendly and helpful, including the managers Eddy and Yvonne. Lots of places to visit within a 20 min drive and there's a good 4G signal for internet if you need it.

I would definitely recommend castle sween. I have been there many times, and we use the rented vans. The vans are lovely with a kitchen including all that you could need to create any SIMPLE dish. The living room includes two sofas, a TV and some storage. A dining table is also included. There are 2-3 bedrooms which are reasonably spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom comes with an en suite ,another bathroom with a good shower is included. There is also a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The castle is beautiful and great to have a look at. There are rocks to jump/play/climb on down the front near the castle which most people don't know about, but it is the highlight of mine and my kids holidays there. There is a rafters Resteraunt and bar which serves some great food, a few things for picky eaters and some fancier dishes too. There is an on site shop with sweets, and some essentials ( cleaning things, bread ect.) I couldn't recommend this place enough, and only a short drive to some towns with resteraunts, shops and some stuff to do with the kids and family
