About Oyster Inn Connel
Step into a room at Oyster Inn Connel and you'll typically find a comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom, and in many cases a sea view worth waking up for. There are 11 rooms in total, including family rooms, with free WiFi and drinks in room as standard. Guests travelling with dogs will find pets welcome, though the pet-friendly rooms are a step down from the rest, so it's worth bearing in mind when booking.
Downstairs, the restaurant and bar are the heart of the place, serving fresh oysters, mussels and Balmoral chicken alongside a cosy atmosphere and a warm welcome from the staff. Breakfast is included, kids' meals and packed lunches are available, and there's a snack bar for anything in between. A 24-hour reception, meeting rooms and free on-site parking round out the practicalities.
Argyll and Bute's coastline is on the doorstep, with fishing and a golf course nearby for those who want to get out and about, plus further pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach. Glencoe Visitor Centre is a short drive away, and Connel Ferry is close by too, making this a workable base for exploring the wider Oban area.
What guests say
The staff are great a big thank you goes out to Connor who goes out of the way to make you feel special. Def a credit to your hotel. The food is fantastic. Especially the blaggis bon bon starter. I have seen table after table eat the mussels and all say they are amazing. They also do a very good pint of guiness. The room is lovely too. Bed is very comfortable. I stayed in room 1 I cannot complain at all.

Family room was perfect for our stay. View was amazing. Room was warm but windows open and a fan provided in the room which helped. Rooms were clean with comfy beds. Great shower and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was first class. Would definitely visit again

We didn’t stay at the hotel but ate in the restaurant. Food and service were excellent! Lovely atmosphere, great choice on the menu, all reasonably priced and tasted delicious. Would recommend eating here

Stopped off at oyster inn with my husband for dinner around sat early evening .....l dont normally write reviews but l hope chef takes note .....firstly the staff were very friendly and fitted us in as later was fully booked ......we had fish and chips ....was nice but in our opinion another few chips wouldn't go amiss .... my husband ordered the sticky toffee pudding and was asked if he'd like custard ice-cream or cream with it or half and half .....he decided custard only .......out comes the smallest pot of custard we have ever seen and to top it off was only half full .....couldn't get custard out with a teaspoon it was so small .......apart from finding it hilarious as l wouldn't like to see the portion if it was half and half .....such a shame as l wouldn't think it would break the bank to serve a realistic portion ...many thanks ....
