What visitors say
What a fabulous place the Ash & Co Workshop is. Nestling, as it is in such a beautiful, lush, rural Hampshire location just outside Fleet and Farnham, yet within a few short minutes drive of the M3. Yesterday, I had the great pleasure of visiting this excellent, purpose build, very high quality, modern and spacious woodworking establishment to meet up with the Ashworth family who expertly run this family venture. Ash & Co really are experts in all aspects of wood working and provide a range of workshops for both adults and kids alike. A few years ago my daughter had a fantastic time at one of the kids workshops skillfully and enthusiastically run by Jon Ashworth and to this day, she still treasures the model cat she enthusiastically built that day, as well as still being able to use some of the skills she learnt that day. As well as their meticulously run workshops, that provide excellent wood working skills to those who attend, Ash and Co also produce model kits made from high quality wood that can be purchased online. Each kit is lovingly prepared in the workshop by Jon himself. I would highly recommend Ash & Co for anything related to woodworking or DIY, and do yourself a favour, book yourself onto one of their fun workshops.

Visited Ash & Co with my 5 year old for a kids workshop and we loved it! My child really enjoyed learning the techniques when making their little wooden unicorn and decorating it! The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the DIY kits are really well designed and made. The facilities were also brilliant! Overall, I would definitely recommend having a go at the DIY activity with your children either at their workshop or at home :)

I recently attended the "Decorating a Day" course at Ash & Co and had a brilliant experience. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, even if you're just curious and want to give decorating a try. The online booking process was incredibly simple. I'd actually been thinking about booking a course with Ash & Co for quite a while and kept putting it off, but with retirement on the horizon, I decided it was time to brush up on some practical skills. I'm so glad I did. The six-hour course was excellent value for money. There were six people in the class, which felt like the perfect number. We were a lovely group with a mix of experience levels, and everyone seemed to get exactly what they wanted from the day. Our tutor, Jonty, was fantastic. He immediately put everyone at ease, was friendly and approachable throughout, and shared plenty of useful tips and advice. I've come away with a substantial shopping list of tools and materials based on his recommendations, which I'm sure will be invaluable going forward. Overall, it was a great course and a really enjoyable day. In fact, I'm seriously considering booking onto the DIY Beginners course next, as it looks both useful and good fun. The only constructive feedback I'd offer is that Ash & Co could do a little more to promote themselves during the course. For example, encouraging attendees to leave a Google review would help spread the word. Also, I received a 10% voucher at the end of the day, but only because I asked about it. It might be worth making attendees more aware of offers like this. Thank you for a fantastic day. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ash & Co to anyone considering a course.

I attended a DIY beginners course with Jonty and I can honestly say it was well worth the money. I’ve used what I learned multiple times since and now DIY projects and repairs are being done quickly rather than being out of for ages and shoddily done. I feel very confident in myself now. Jonty is a fantastic teacher. He is great at explaining everything and answering any questions, no matter how silly they may seem. We had plenty of time to practise what we were being taught and guided if things didn’t go right first time. I would 100% recommend the course for anyone who wants to feel more confident with DIY, it is a great starting point and you would not come away disappointed. I also purchased one of the kids construction sets (dragon) while I was there, and my daughter loved it and had a lot of fun building it.
