Really interesting museum with lovely volunteer staff. Informative chat explaining the features of the museum on entry. Casual vibe you can walk around freely throughout. Complete local history of Amersham. Many exhibits and detailed historical facts. The garden is beautiful well kept and plenty of medicinal herbs, plants used in Tudor times.

Friend and I booked a guided tour of early development of Amersham old town today. Stuart was our lovely guide today. Very knowledgeable. A very interesting walk and highly recommend (you can just walk in but if you book it gives the volunteer walk leaders and idea who is coming) We plan to come back for the later expansion walk..

A lovely museum with very friendly staff who gave us an overview of the history of the home. Also very interactive which is perfect for families. Definitely recommend anyone who goes to Amersham to explore this nice little window into the local history.
