This is a review for the main departure point for both the Runnymede to Windsor Cruises and the 45 minute round trip on the Lucy Fisher. The boatyard can be found if you take the last car park entrance on the right - if coming from Egham - or first on the left if coming from Windsor, close to the National Trust Office in the Lutyens lodges at the Windsor End end of Runnymede. Tickets can be bought on the boat with cash or card. We took the 45 minutes trip on the "Lucy Fisher" - a film prop, built locally for use in the Tarzan movie "Greystoke" - which gently progresses downstream to the statue of Queen Elizabeth 2 and back. Informative commentary and good views of the memorials from the river.

Runneymede to Windsor ..... And a return journey. On a lovely sunny Saturday morning, the boatyard is easy to find and has parking , or you can park at the NT car park , free to members or French Bros. Will give you a ticket for the car. The staff are very friendly and professional , we left a few minutes later than stated but it really didn't matter. We were aboard the Queen of the Thames , I think the largest boat in the fleet . An upper and lower deck to choose from , of course we had to have the upper deck and sit right at the front. Children huh ! No my wife.😀 It's a busy river and the skipper had to be on the lookout the whole time because of the day trippers in hire craft (more to come) I really admired the skipper for his handling of the boat , so professional the way he handled such a large boat in and out of the locks , and mooring alongside quays when we had to wait .... all on the use of the twin engines . Brilliant. Arrival in busy Windsor ... A trip to the castle that will have to be done on another day because it was so busy. Wandered around Windsor and Eton then back on the boat at 16.00 hrs . Well , I thought it was busy going to Windsor..... Wow ! Coming back was a whole new experience, little hire craft with beer and wine soaked passengers and drivers cutting up The Queen of the Thames, and all the while the skipper showing great control of boat and temper . A great day out. Thank you the crew of QofTT

Lovely trip along the Thames passed many historical land marks. Crew were professional and friendly. Enjoyed the wildlife too - kingfisher and heron spotted as well as the usual water fowl.
