About Innkeepers Collection Old Windsor

Innkeepers Collection Old Windsor is built right onto a Toby Carvery, so a carvery lunch or dinner is never more than a short walk from your room. It's a straightforward, no-frills base for visiting Windsor rather than a destination in itself, but it covers the essentials well.

Rooms are en-suite and include family options, with drinks available in room and free WiFi throughout. There's a 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, a bar on site alongside the attached restaurant, and breakfast is served each morning. A garden gives some outdoor space to sit, and free on-site parking makes driving in straightforward.

Beyond the restaurant itself, the area offers golf and fishing nearby, along with further pubs, bars and eateries, entertainment, and watersports for those wanting to venture a little further. It suits guests who want a convenient, practical stay near Windsor without expecting boutique styling.

Staff when booking were extremely helpful as the website was migrating when I first tried to book. This was easily sorted. Furthermore, staff at the hotel were super helpful when checking in. The rooms are well laid out, clean and in good working order. The bathroom is a good size with a super hot shower. The beds are really comfortable, being on the firm side. I would ask for a magnification mirror above the table on the room as women don't always like to stand in a steamy bathroom to apply make up (hotels rooms are always designed for men and this needs to change!). We enjoyed taster menu food in the restaurant/bar and this was delicious. We will be having that again. Check out was simple with online check out offered (as well as online check in).

Great location for exploring into Windsor. We walked into Windsor, took approx 30 mins to walk to the Long Mile. We also took the bus which the stop is right outside the lodge and takes you right by the castle. We were greeted with a nice welcome upon checking in and shown to our room. Everything was explained and was knowledgeable of the area and answered all our questions. Breakfast was nice and plenty on offer, note it's only cooked breakfast and no options of continental (as one person near us complained about). We had carvery one night and would recommend to pre book as it was busy. Rooms are lovely and spacious and comfortable. Whilst you are near the airport you can hear planes through the day but we didn't notice them at night or early morning. We were warned about the bin men coming early (they are actively trying to sort this) but we weren't bothered by that and it wasn't that bad. There is a separate night entrance to the lodge for guests with access by fob. Would recommend to stay here for a great base for exploring the area.

Couldn't fault a thing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully presented and clean with great facilities. It was quiet, comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was included and it was top notch - without doubt the best buffet breakfast we have ever had in a UK hotel. Even the coffee was delicious! We would definitely stay there or at another Toby Carvery again and would highly recommend it.

A friend and I stayed here recently for one night, occupying two rooms. Breakfast was included and we also had the carvery dinner. Whilst the accommodation was adequate, it was certainly no more than that and, at £105 per room, frankly disappointing. The premises are extremely dated and long overdue for refurbishment, particularly the carpets. While the bathrooms have been updated, this appears to have been done fairly cheaply and the resulting impression is not one of quality. Unfortunately for us it was a voucher scheme night, meaning that people were queued to the door for the carvery and although we thought we had booked a table, due to a glitch in the online reservation system, this turned out not to be the case. This is where your exceptional staff came to the rescue and saved the day, and our stay. Although we did have to wait until 8pm for a table, Chris, efficiently manning both the front desk and the bar, could not have been more helpful, resolving our mix-up calmly and politely. When we eventually sat down for dinner, Alice provided us with incredibly warm and personal service, normally only encountered in much more expensive restaurants, not self-service carveries. Tina, the manager, while overseeing an extremely busy restaurant that night, also found time to have a pleasant chat with us as we praised her staff to her. This wonderfully attentive service continued the following morning when we met lovely Susan at breakfast. Being a fellow coeliac she understood my friend struggling with the lack of gluten-free options on the breakfast buffet, and would willingly have offered her own food, had she had any with her that day. Working at a high level in hospitality myself, I understandably appreciate outstanding customer service when I receive it, and the service provided by your staff throughout our stay was absolutely second-to-none. They should all be highly commended and rewarded as you are very fortunate to have them !
