About Premier Inn Oxford Cowley
Premier Inn Oxford Cowley is a sizeable modern hotel of 225 rooms, purpose-built on Oxford Business Park to suit both business travellers and visitors wanting straightforward access into the city. Its scale means plenty of availability and consistent, no-frills comfort rather than period charm.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, good temperature control and comfortable beds, along with drinks facilities and accessible options for those who need them. Some rooms do show signs of wear, so don't expect everything to feel brand new. A restaurant serves breakfast that guests rate highly, and the hotel has a lift and 24-hour reception for late arrivals or early starts.
On-site parking is available for a fee, and buses from nearby run conveniently into Oxford's centre, making it easy to explore the city without needing a car. There's also a Burger King close by, plus golf, fishing, horse riding and pubs in the surrounding area for those looking to fill spare time.
What guests say
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this Premier Inn. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep. However, the customer service at check-in was disappointing. The receptionist wasn't particularly welcoming or helpful, and I had to ask about everything myself, including breakfast times and the check-out time. I also wasn't informed that parking was chargeable, which came as an unwelcome surprise. It felt as though the receptionist didn't want to be there and was only providing the absolute minimum level of service. One other downside was having to pay separately for parking. While I understand this may be the hotel's policy, it would have been appreciated if this had been explained at check-in. Overall, the accommodation itself was very good, but the lack of proactive customer service and communication took away from what could have been an excellent stay.

I've stayed in plenty of Premier Inn's and usually have a pleasant stay and a comfortable bed. This hotel however was very tired and in desperate need of renovation. The hotel is spread over two buildings so you walk down miles if corridors. Like another reviewer, I was unfortunately on the side of the Eastern bypass and was disturbed by the annoying metal drain that cars drive over, this has not been addressed and should be. I would not recommend staying here.

Generously sized room, nice variety of furniture, if you would have been able to work and sit at desk height should you needed to use a laptop or similar. The bed and mattress was very comfortable. Good standard of cleanliness throughout. Only slight negative was the self check in rather than being greeted by a receptionist. Parking is payable via app or at a terminal near the entrance.

This was, without doubt, the best Premier Inn we have stayed in. Reception was easy and very pleasant, the room was comfortable and adequately supplied with all the trimmings. It was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the service excellent. We couldn't wish for anything better, especially when the bus stop to and from the city was just outside the Hotel. We're in Cambridge next weekend - I hope it is as good as this one. Thank you to everyone....
