The Old Custom House sits directly on Padstow's quay, among the most central positions any hotel in the town can claim, and is run by St Austell Brewery as part of its small collection of Cornish inns and hotels. Its 23 en-suite bedrooms range from cosy doubles to a self-catering apartment, several with direct harbour views.
The hotel's bar and restaurant open onto the quayside and serve a menu built around Cornish produce and seafood, making it a popular spot with both guests and passing visitors for a drink or meal looking straight out over the boats. Rooms are finished in a contemporary style, with complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and, in the higher categories, sea and harbour views.
There is no on-site parking, in keeping with most of the harbourfront, and guests typically use one of the nearby pay-and-display car parks, but the trade-off is a genuinely central position with the town's restaurants, shops and boat trips all on the doorstep.

Our host/proprietor Marcus was friendly & happy and very helpful with local info. The first floor rooms are modern, bright & very clean. When we arrived we were welcomed by Nicky who runs the bistro on the ground level. Ideal location & quiet.

What a great little find. Great size room (Brownsea). Nice little breakfast selection with coffee machine. Location is great. Ate in the bistro on the ground floor which was very nice. Recommend booking a table though.

Had an evening meal with work friends, 10 in total. Food was some of the best I've had recently. The Bombay Spiced Broccily for starter and the Sea Food Linguini for main. A great evening around. Espresso Martini was very well made too.

Simply perfect great location Rooms are spacious clean fabulous night sleep . Extra added nice touch with the coffee / tea machine and take away breakfast bars/fruit . Highly recommend
