What visitors say

Kieren Dipple

BCP Leisure at the Poole Dolphin Centre is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome every time you visit. The changing rooms are clean and well maintained, which is a big plus. The gym is well equipped and has everything you need for a great workout, and the swimming pool is excellent. There’s also a great variety of classes to suit all fitness levels. Highly recommended!

New to the area and had my first swim at The Dolphin. What a WONDERFUL peaceful first swim, generously wide lanes made for real comfort, the changing rooms were clean and dry with working free hairdryers and nice hot showers and all for £4.50 for a whole hour. Better value than other pools we have visited. This will be my regular 'GO TO'.

For the cost of membership I would expect better kept facilities. The showers in the women’s changing room are absolutely filthy and the area around the toilets and pool entrance is equally disgusting. The pool itself is also rather dirty, and there is a horrible smell of sewage around the boom pool. It all feels badly maintained and poorly kept. This has been consistent over multiple visits so obviously whatever cleaning standards are in place are pathetically lax. On top of that, trying to use the member’s changing rooms in the early evening is unbearable as parents seem to let their young children use it as a playground during swimming lessons. This only adds to the discomfort and lack of hygiene, especially when dirty nappies are left in the shower! There needs to be serious changes made to cleaning and maintenance as the whole building is starting to feel like a health hazard.

Not a bad 25m swimming pool + a smaller boom pool and diving pool. The water temp is slightly on the chilly side, but that keeps you moving! Paid car park. Mixed changing is warm and clean although there is a relatively limited number of showers. Staff are friendly and helpful.
