Tweedside Caravan Park
Montgomery St, Innerleithen EH44 6JS, UK
Riverside family-run touring park in Innerleithen, near Peebles
About Tweedside Caravan Park
Tweedside Caravan Park sits on the banks of the Tweed in Innerleithen, a quieter, more low-key alternative to the larger parks closer to Peebles. Run by the same local family for years, it offers touring pitches, camping space, cosy pods and static caravan hire on a single riverside site that opens March to October. The setting appeals especially to anglers fishing the Tweed, and the flat village centre of Innerleithen—with its shops and the Traquair Arms—is an easy walk when you need supplies or a change of scene.
On-site facilities cover the essentials: toilets, showers, laundrette, and the park's own Tow-Bar pub, which serves food and drinks seasonally so you're not driving out for every meal. Some visitors note the park can feel a touch tired in places, but the genuinely local, unfussy atmosphere and riverside pitches more than compensate if you're after character over polish. It's a sensible base for exploring Traquair House, Glentress Forest and the wider Tweed Valley while keeping Peebles itself within easy reach.

What can I say. £35 for a pitch with just electric. Gravel isn't flat or big enough for a 4 berth caravan. Showers are clean but have auto off feature that gives you 5 seconds of water. Won't be back it's very expensive for what you get.

Tents tucked away in the back corner, relatively level but no EHU for tents. Nice flat pitches for caravans and campers with hook up but not allowed to use these pitches for tents. Dogs allowed but welcome would not be a word I would use. Keys for toilet block card for entry to site. Next to the river and the walking is lovely.
