The Bothy

Walkerburn is a small village in the Scottish Borders, minutes from the River Tweed and within easy reach of Peebles. The Bothy sits on Caberston Farm, a working property that also runs a coffee shop, livery and kennels. Everything here is on the ground floor: a combined living, dining and kitchen space, one double bedroom and a shower room with grab rail. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all provided, along with gas central heating and a welcome pack.

The kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, microwave and fridge-freezer, so you can cook for yourself or step next door to the coffee shop for breakfast and cakes. There is shared access to laundry facilities on the farm if you need them. A cot and highchair are available on request. One dog is welcome and can stay in the cottage, the laundry or in the kennels outside; the farm asks that dogs are kept on a lead as it is an active working space. If you are bringing a horse, stabling and grazing can be arranged in advance. The property has parking for two cars and storage for bikes and canoes. No smoking inside.
