About Moon Dance Glamping and Camping

Tucked into a couple of acres of young woodland just outside Llanteg, Moon Dance Glamping and Camping occupies a genuinely peaceful spot—close enough to the coast (about 10 minutes' drive) and main roads for exploring Pembrokeshire, yet delightfully secluded. Owners Penny and Jon share their knowledge of local wildlife with enthusiasm, and if you're lucky you might spot sparrowhawks or peregrines hunting overhead as you wander the woodland paths or settle into your pitch among natural meadow and wildflowers.

Each of the handful of non-electric grass pitches comes with its own private composting toilet, while communal facilities include a hot-water shower, washing-up area, and eco-friendly dog-waste composting. Firepits can be hired on site, and well-behaved dogs are welcome year-round. The Landsker Trail runs right past the gate, and the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path lies roughly three miles away—making this a genuinely rewarding base for walkers seeking a quieter, wilder corner of the county.

We went here for 2 nights in the bell tent in the woods. Its in a beautiful setting. To have a whole woods to ourselves and the facilities were perfect. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. We loved the small personal touches like a welcome message on a slate tile for us by the tent and I only told the host a few hours before our arrival that it was my other halves birthday and they left her a birthday card and a bottle of bubbles for us. We both would love to go back again and we've already recommended it to family and friends.

We spent an absolutely idyllic 3 nights at MoonDance. Without doubt the most secluded camping experience we've had - only ever two bookings taken in the camping field at one time! Penny recommended some wonderful local outings and eateries and she and John have really thought of everything in the setup here. Such thoughtful touches in all of the facilities, together with beautiful added extras like the bouquets of wildflowers and solar powered twinkly lights. Everything has been thought of and more, and Penny is a generous and kind host. The glamping setup looks incredible but whatever you opt for a luxurious experience awaits. Inspiring to see how they have managed to do so much to get off grid as well. Thank you Penny and Jon - and every wind turbine is now a 'Gertie' according to our 4 y/o!!

My boyfriend and I found moondance camping on our scout of places to stay in the late afternoon on a Saturday night and on a whim we popped in to see if there were any free pitches for the night. We were surprised by the facilities and hosts on site as we were greeted with a warm welcome. We were taken to our camping pitch and on the way shown our very own private toilet & shower room. There was also a honesty cabinet that stored fresh eggs and some homemade flapjacks made by lovely host Penny with lots of other lovely things. The option to rent a fire pit for a small fee that came with a bucket of logs was a lovely touch. We usually carry our own gear but this was a last minute decision so it made our night. We noticed that there was archery and axe throwing run on site which looked very fun! But make sure to book in advance as it is popular! We were given free rein of the glamping area as it wasn’t occupied and we were amazed with the facilities and the little private woodland it was located in. We will definitely be back to try them out, moondance camping comes highly recommended and a big thank you to Penny for being a lovely host. See you again soon!
