About The Little Retreat

Tucked onto a peninsula within an old castle estate, The Little Retreat offers just a handful of geodesic domes overlooking the tidal waters of the Cleddau Estuary in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Each dome comes fully kitted out with comfortable beds, an ensuite bathroom and a vast picture window framing estuary views from your pillow. Outside, private garden areas feature well-stocked outdoor kitchens, picnic tables and firepits with complimentary firewood – perfect for lingering evenings under the stars.

The location is a dream for walkers and wildlife watchers, with ancient oak woodland trails threading through Lawrenny's steep valleys and along tidal creeks. Kids and dogs are both welcome to join the adventure, and there's plenty beyond the site to explore: Manor Wildlife Park, Carew Castle and the beaches at Freshwater East and Tenby are all within easy reach. It's a genuinely peaceful spot, though the luxury comes at a price – this is very much a special-occasion getaway rather than a budget option.

Beautiful clean, spacious and well furnished geodome, in private and scenic location. Felt luxiourious and was a real treat, allowing our batteries to fully recharge. Thanks Adrian & family for a great stay 😁

A beautiful, tranquil space to relax. We stayed in the dome, which was bigger than we imagined and beautifully furnished. I loved the quality bedding; my partner loved the log burner. The whole space was very private and well thought out. We made the most of the fab village bakery recommended by Amber for Friday night pizza. The retreat's morning pastries were lovely; it was nice to have homemade jam.

What a fantastic place the location was perfect. All we could hear was the birds singing so peaceful. Accommodation was well appointed from the Dome to the kitchen, bathroom also had a hot tub it was hot when we arrived. Our hosts made us very welcome nothing was to much trouble. Thank you Amber. Will differently return.

It is really a relaxing place to spend some good quality time with friends and family. The hot tub takes around 3 hours to get into but it is worth to wait. The inside stove is wood fired and it is nice to hear roaring fire while watching your smart TV which ready to enjoy with connected free Wi-Fi. It it clean tidy well planned you specious private area with a nice view towards to river. I will recommend this place for wedding ceremonies too. The only downside there is no takeaway around to have delivery. You habe to travel 11miles to get any takeaway from wide range of national and independent shopping
