About Three Echo Campsite

Surrounded on three sides by the River Cleddau, this off-grid Pembrokeshire site delivers proper wild camping with a few welcome comforts. Pitches are spacious and well-kept, each with its own composting toilet, and there are hot showers and covered seating areas if the weather turns. The real draw is direct access to the river about 100 metres away – bring kayaks, paddleboards or small boats, or settle in for an afternoon's fishing. The local geography creates a distinctive three-way echo that bounces sound back up the water, delighting kids and adults alike.

Facilities lean pleasingly simple: campfires and barbecues are encouraged, a coffee van keeps you fuelled, and there's a small "back-to-bunker" for essentials. Dogs roam freely year-round, and footpaths fan out in all directions for proper walks. A shop and pub sit within walking distance, while Pembroke and Haverfordwest are fifteen minutes by car. Guests mention the peaceful, natural setting and genuinely helpful owners – it's a site that gets the balance right between wild and welcoming.

An absolute GEM of a campsite, possibly Pembrokeshire's best kept secret. From the moment you make your booking, you are taken care of. A helpful e-guide is provided, giving info on the site and the local area, even instructions on the eco-toilets on every pitch. I stayed on a Campervan pitch and was immersed in my own patch of tranquility and nature. The site owners are incredibly helpful and friendly, and have a superb eco-centred ethos. The swathes of wild meadow attract a wonderful diversity of wildlife, including friendly robins, rabbits and, as the twilight falls and the campfires are lit, you can sit and watch bats flit over your pitch. I am torn between letting you know how wonderful this site is and keeping this perfect part of Pembrokeshire all to myself. 😊

What a place! It is so well thought out, not the run of the mill campsite. We were so sad to have to leave and are already planning our next trip. Pat and Naomi have poured heart and soul into the place, it was beyond our expectations, the hut on each pitch was a brilliant idea, somewhere to eat, play games and dry clothing. The kids play area was great, lots of things for them to go at. Loved the back up bunker. I only have two quibbles, firstly can you sneak an extra bed into one of your rentals... they only sleep 4 and I can't decide whether its a child or a husband I would need to leave at home. Secondly, the place is so good, it feels like you have stumpled over a well kept secret, I almost don't want to tell you all how good it is... I may not be able to get a pitch next time! Thank you for an amazing week, we will be back!

Having now stayed at Three Fields for four consecutive years and visited more than half a dozen times, it’s safe to say this has become our favourite campsite. We travel with a van, and the mix of hard standing and grass pitches works perfectly for us. The pitches are spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and nicely screened by natural boundaries, so you always feel you have your own space. Despite multiple visits across different times, the site has never felt crowded, with only a small number of pitches in each field. The location continues to be a huge draw. It’s close to some of our favourite beaches in South Wales, while still being near useful amenities. At the same time, the site itself remains peaceful, rural, and genuinely friendly in atmosphere. One of the standout aspects is the site’s commitment to sustainability. The private composting toilets are well maintained, recycling is easy, and everything feels carefully considered. The showers are consistently warm and readily available, which is always appreciated after a long day out. The “back-up bunker” is a brilliant touch—stocked with camping essentials and payable by QR code, which is incredibly convenient if you’re caught short. And the Silly Goose coffee trailer really is the icing on the cake. What truly sets Three Fields apart, though, is the personal touch. Pat and Naomi have always been welcoming, greeting us on arrival and seeing us off when we leave—it makes a real difference. We already look forward to coming back each time we leave. Our only complaint? It’s on the other side of the country from us.

We spoke to Naomi very last minute on a Friday to see if we could book in for that night and the following. Naomi was very helpful and sorted a pitch out for us. We spoke to Patrick when we arrived a bit later than planned and he let us know where to park up and that he would be there in the morning to open up the coffee shop ( much to my delight ). The site is in a lovely spot surrounded by wild meadows, each pitch at the top of the site has its own compostable toilet, so not far to go and the toilet was nice and clean. The pitches are divided by wild flowers and trees so it gives you a bit of privacy but mainly it’s very pretty, love the big daisies! They have added lots of little perks, such as a meadow walk, games for kids and snacks for sale if needed. Would highly recommend.
