Gamekeepers Cottage is a semi-detached stone building in rural Pembrokeshire, near the hamlet of Newchapel. You arrive into a ground floor living space with a wood burner, dining room and kitchen equipped for cooking. Upstairs, a bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower makes up the rest of the property. The cottage sleeps two and allows one pet, which must be kept on a lead as sheep farming surrounds the area.
Original features—exposed stone walls, timber beams, lime plaster—run throughout. Underfloor heating and included electricity mean you can use the wood burner (initial fuel supplied) as much or as little as you like. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels come as standard. Outside, an enclosed lawn with patio, garden furniture and barbecue provides space to sit. A hot tub is available on the grounds. Two cars can park on site.
The location sits within reach of Cardigan, a market town ten minutes' drive away with shops, cafes and theatres. From there, access to the Pembrokeshire coastal path opens up 186 miles of walking along the national park's shoreline. Locally, a pub near Newchapel and the riverside inn at Abercych (two miles away) offer food and drink. No smoking in the cottage.
