Yr Hen Efail works well for couples after quietness and walking country. It's a stone cottage in the hamlet of Cilshafe, surrounded by fields and mature trees, with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path within half a mile and Fishguard harbour roughly a mile and a half away. A pub sits within walking distance. The property is yours alone—one bedroom with a kingsize bed, one bathroom, living and dining rooms, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Electricity and bed linen are covered; there's a wood burner for winter stays, with fuel supplied from late October through Easter.
The appeal lies largely in the garden and its setting. You get a patio with seating, a lawn beyond, and a shallow wildlife pond in the far corner that draws birds and insects. There's parking for two cars on site. Dogs are welcome at no extra cost, making it a natural base for exploring the coastal paths nearby. The cottage doesn't suit children due to the unfenced pond. Smoking is not permitted.
