Penmaenmawr is a small coastal town in Conwy, north Wales, sitting on the Irish Sea coast between Llanfairfechan and Dwygyfylchi. The town has a long pebble beach and is backed by the steep slopes of Penmaenmawr mountain. Historically, the area was worked for stone quarrying, which shaped much of the landscape.
