Loch Tay and the surrounding glens are on your doorstep at Fois Bhrus, a modern lodge near Aberfeldy in Perth and Kinross. The area is built for hiking, fishing, and exploring—from riverside walks to the peaks that ring the landscape. The lodge itself sits with views over water, a good base whether you want active days out or quieter time to rest between them.
All three bedrooms are ground floor, each with an ensuite bathroom. The first has a double and single bed, the second has two singles, and the third a double. The open-plan living space runs across the front of the property with patio doors opening to a terrace that overlooks the loch; the kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and there is a dining table that seats eight. The lodge sleeps seven, and cots and highchairs are available if needed. Underfloor heating, electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included; you have parking for two cars on site. No smoking throughout. One dog is welcome.
The terrace gives you somewhere to watch the light change across the water, or you can use it as a staging point for the day's activities—the landscape here justifies the journey north.
