Walk through the hallway into a cottage that opens up around you—a kitchen and dining space flow together on the ground floor, with views across the south-facing garden where red squirrels visit the bird table. The living room has a woodburner for cooler evenings. A study with galleried space sits alongside, and a bedroom with king bed and ensuite are also on this level. Upstairs, two more bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with twin singles—each with their own bathroom. The cottage itself dates from the 1860s, built from two separate structures joined into one.
All essentials are covered: electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, and there's a utility area with extra fridge space and a drying pulley. The enclosed garden has furniture, a small barbecue and chiminea. Parking for two cars is on site. One small dog is welcome.
Strathtay sits on the River Tay with the 9-hole golf course directly opposite. The village has a post office, general store, riverside pub and restaurants within walking distance, plus an award-winning chocolatier with a coffee shop. The southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park is nearby for walks and outdoor activity. Perthshire's landscape of forests and hills surrounds the property, and a children's play park is close by.
