Little Harrowfield

Perth and Kinross offers everything from gentle riverside strolls to mountain scenery, with the county town itself ten minutes away. Little Harrowfield sits on the edge of this landscape, a semi-detached cottage on its own grounds with a fully enclosed patio and garden to the front. The single bedroom holds a king bed; the bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Downstairs, an open-plan living space centres on a multi-fuel burner, with the kitchen properly equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge—and French doors opening onto the patio where you can eat or simply sit.

The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. One dog stays free; a second costs £20. Smoking is not permitted. You arrive after 3pm and leave before 10am, with parking for one car on site. The village of Bankfoot is a mile and a half away, home to a historic inn and local shops. Dunkeld and Birnam, each with riverside walks and the Beatrix Potter Museum, lie ten minutes further. For longer trips, Pitlochry takes 25 minutes, Scone Palace 13 miles, and Edinburgh an hour's drive through the Perthshire hills.
