Hosted my mum's wedding. The staff pulled out all the stops! Major credit to the Manager Gary for going above and beyond to make this special day run smoothly. Food was delicious and the portions were HUGE!. The hotel is beautiful and has a lot of character. The view of the river Tay is beautiful which makes it a fabulous wedding venue. Cant thank you all enough!

Visited on Saturday 27th for a high tea with our ladies group. There were 18 of us. The visit had been pre- booked a few months previously. We were seated in a private room at one huge table. This caused problems for some of our ladies as there was little room to move if anyone needed to go to the bar or to the loo. Separate tables would have been better. We noted that the hotel had a wedding on that day also. After a bit of a wait a waitress brought 2 small teapots of tea then disappeared again. A few of the ladies requested jugs of water on the table. We were kept waiting on a waitress coming back. Eventually, our bus driver served our ladies with tea. A waitress then brought toast to the top of the table. We were expected to pass this down the table. Our gluten free lady did not receive any toast despite a gluten free meal being ordered. It took a while to deliver everyones meals. Some were nearly finished when others were just starting. No-one came to ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything. We had to ask for more tea. The plates were left on the table for far too long also Our bus driver then came to us and said if we were to keep to our itinerary we would have to leave in 5 minutes. At this point the scones and cakes hadn't been brought out. Most of the ladies asked for their scone/cake to be wrapped up to take home. This again took some time. The whole visit was disorganised and lengthy. We felt that the wedding likely took priority to the other customers. The serving skills of the waitresses was very poor, having to be asked or told what to do next. They could do with more training in how to serve large groups. Overall the food was OK but the other issues spoiled the entire visit. The chairperson of our ladies group was assured the manager would contact her. She is still waiting!!

Nice room with lovely views of the Tay. The room had everything we needed and it was relatively quiet. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great location. The room needs more attention to detail. There were some maintenance issues, including mould round taps and round the bath. The mattress definitely needs replacing.

I was here for a club prize giving. They were having some staff issues but it was all hands to the pump and they managed to get our large group fed on time. Good atmosphere in the ballroom. Comfortable seating and nicely laid tables. My second event here and well catered to both times.
