About Sky Lodge Perth

A morning coffee and a cooked breakfast start the day at Sky Lodge Perth, with drinks also available in the room for those who'd rather settle in than head out. It's a straightforward setup, and that's rather the point for anyone passing through Perth Airport who wants something uncomplicated.

Rooms are kept simple, with en-suite bathrooms and flat-screen televisions covering the essentials rather than aiming for luxury. Free WiFi is available throughout, and the hotel offers free on-site parking, which makes it an easy option for anyone arriving by car or breaking up a longer journey.

Beyond the hotel itself, there's a pub, a bar and a couple of restaurants nearby for those wanting a proper meal out, along with other entertainment options within reach. It won't suit guests after a boutique stay, but as a functional base near the airport with the practicalities sorted, it does the job.

Arlene is and was racist, don’t stay here! I would strongly advise against staying here based on my recent experience. I have stayed at this hotel for over a year without any issues, so what happened during this visit was extremely surprising. From the moment I approached reception to pay for my room, the receptionist, Arlene, had a very negative attitude. Her tone was blunt and dismissive, and she spoke to me in a way that felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional for someone working in a customer-facing role. When I asked about changing my room, she responded by saying, “Don’t blame me, I didn’t make the booking.” I was confused by the hostility and tried to understand what the issue was, but the situation quickly escalated. She accused me of being abusive and said she had never served people “like me” before, which I found extremely concerning. She told me she would tell me about my room once I had paid, which obviously I as going to do. She continued raising her voice and speaking to me as though we had some prior conflict, which we did not. I challenged her behaviour because I genuinely did not understand why she was treating me this way. The interaction ended with her cancelling my room and issuing a refund. I informed her that I would be leaving a review to reflect my experience. Despite claiming she felt threatened, there was another staff member present who did not intervene at any point, which makes that claim difficult to understand. She said she looks forward to reading the review, so here it is. I have travelled and stayed in many hotels and have never experienced customer service like this before. It was uncomfortable, confusing, and completely unnecessary. The guys who were sat with her chose to stay silent until she refunded me and I’m sure if there was any abuse towards their staff member, they would have intervened sooner. Arlene created a hostile situation and as a business, I think you need to give her some serious training. Told her she was cheeky and her response was “What are you gonna do about it?”. Never seen or heard anything like it. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying here and will never come back.

This is our 5th visit with our dogs for a cheeky wee break. It’s perfect for us and we can totally relax and chill it’s so quiet. We are welcomed back every time by everyone and although we live over 3 hours away we are now considered regulars. We have the same room every time as it’s easy for us to take the dogs out the back door for their first and last pee of the day and they can raz about on the grass field outside the back door to their hearts. Intent but it’s also got a wood walk near by. Breakfast in the morning is really good too. It’s enough to set you up for the day with toast and bakery items and juice and tea and coffee and a good supply of different milks to cater for people. It’s not a cooked breakfast but your so near Perth I’m sure you could go if you want to to the local weather spoons in the city for one. The people there are so kind and nothings too much trouble. Reception are so kind and swapped our rooms over as I reserved the wrong one this time and they were happy to when I requested to swap. Special thanks to the lovely Richard on breakfast and housekeeping who was so lovely and chatty and was a delight to spend time with over breakfast. What a kind young man and clearly loves his job as much as the rest of aky judges do. We are already planning our next trip down and will bring another bag of goodies for the girls in reception and the other staff as they fully deserve it for keeping us happy. 👍🤣 see you very soon again sky lodges. We love you guys! Love from room 112 x

This is an OLD M.O.D Base. Terribly run down, dirty and eyrie. Rooms are cold and dormitory style. Definitely not worth the money. Run badly and the night security man is very unorganised & unprofessional
