LOVELY STAFF WITH PLENTY OF KNOWLEDGE. Today I learnt that.. In January 1963, a 13-year-old girl named Dorothy hit the headlines when she found a rare gold coin inside a fish. The fish was reportedly gutted on the beach at Hastings, Sussex, turning an ordinary fishing trip into a viral local sensation of its day. The legendary tale of Dorothy and the fish coin remains deeply embedded in the maritime folklore of Hastings, home to a rich history of beach-launched vessels and traditional shingle-based fisheries... AND THIS MUSEUM IS FREE. DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED AND RECOMMENDED. THEY ALSO HAVE A LOVELY LITTLE SHOP.
