What an incredible culinary journey through many regions of China! Thank you Andrew and team for an unforgettable dining experience! The vegetarian tasting menu, in which we tasted 41 different items, was exquisite! There wasn’t a single item we didn’t enjoy, each was infused with unique flavours and textures and the presentation was immaculate - can’t fault any part of our dining experience! And Biraj our lovely waiter was attentive and looked after us warmly. We especially enjoyed speaking with head chef Andrew Wong at the end of the meal, upon request, and learned more about his own journey. We remembered dining at his parents’ Chinese restaurant Kym’s housed at the same location, before Andrew transformed it into a food heaven! And we’ve also enjoyed his collaboration with Oberoi in Delhi at Baoshuan, which also has amazing food!

I took my family here for lunch and we ordered a wide selection of dim sum and other dishes to share. While everything was thoughtfully prepared and well executed, the meal never quite reached the level of excitement we expected from a two-Michelin-star restaurant. Given the reputation/hype and a bill of over $600 for three people, we left feeling underwhelmed by the lunch. Not a particularly memorable dining experience. Extremely overpriced. Save your money!

As a Cantonese diner, I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday here, especially given the restaurant’s reputation, but the experience did not live up to expectations. While I understand that fine dining often focuses on bite sized portions, the way dishes were served felt poorly thought out. We were sometimes given a single small portion to divide between three, which felt inadequate at this price point and not well considered in terms of how the food should be shared. The food itself was good, but it did not excel in flavour or feel elevated as expected for a restaurant of this calibre. Service was the biggest issue. What should have been a 2.5-3 hour experience stretched to nearly 4 hours due to long delays between courses. Plates were often left for 10 to 15 minutes before being cleared, and overall the service felt inattentive, with little sense of pacing or coordination. As our first two star dining experience, we expected a clear step up in service. While dishes were explained well, the attentiveness and execution did not feel at that level. We had also noted in advance that it was my birthday, but this was not acknowledged at all, which was disappointing. Overall, an underwhelming experience for what was meant to be a special occasion.

Slightly disappointing food. Dim sum was by far the standout star. Overly sweet theme ran through out the menu. Wine pairing was excellent and but the food let it down. Staff were excellent, friendly, warm and added to the experience 👌
