Sophie! Firstly I can't thank you enough. From the VERY start, your enthusiasm, excitement, passion and support for our event was incredible. This was actually what pushed me to book with yourself rather than the other venues I was looking at. I felt like after our first phone call we became friends and it was always a pleasure speaking and working out the details! However, I did feel you massivly under sold the venue! You said it was really nice, really comfortable, a lovely place to stay, really homely, extremely well renovated etc.. The truth is.. when you walk in, your jaw touches the floor, the place is MASSIVE and every detail is beyond incredible!! The atmosphere in the place is electric. This is genuinely one of the nicest places I've stayed in my life and It's hard to describe how incredible Balnakeilly is. However... Here goes... Quote Jamie Duffin "It's like staying at your favourite rich aunties house, the one that makes the best mac n cheese, the one that always has the fires on and the one that gives you the biggest hug when you walk in"

We stayed for one night in Balnakeilly House, visiting Pitlochry for the rescheduled 2021 Etape Caledonia bike race. We had originally booked 2 rooms at The Bothy through AirBNB, but when the Etape date changed, and The Bothy wasn't available, we were offered 2 rooms in the main house. The house is situated in beautiful grounds, with a wonderful view across the glen. The room was reasonably comfortable, with the creaky, bare floorboards of an old building, with shared bathrooms. I wouldn't say this is "luxury", or "boutique", more upcycled vintage accommodation, albeit in a spectacular setting, perhaps better for large group self-catering than as individual hotel rooms. Communication with the host was very poor. It took persistence and patience to get her to reply to multiple messages, phonecalls, emails, and many requests to send email confirmation of the booking. Frustratingly, and in common withe some other guests who were also visiting for the Etape, (and hence had an early start), we found that the promised breakfast didn't materialise. Not good before a bike ride, and especially at this price. Not convenient for the Etape. Poor communication was exasperating.

Stunning building with wonderful rooms - visited for work last week and highly impressed with the accommodation and surrounding beauty. The hot tub added an extra level of luxury. It’s definitely the best place to stay in Pitlochry.

The Mysterons. Captain Black

This amazing house is in a prime location on North side of Pitlochry near the ancient village of Moulin & Ben Y Vrackie. There's a cosy 2 bed cottage along with the grand 13 bedrooms. The dining hall is stunning too.
