Lovely guest house and the owner is such a nice man, really friendly and compassionate. I got a free upgrade to a double room and it was spacious and clean, plus really cool toilet seat. Good location, no issues at all! Stay here to support a family business! I would recommend and stay again :)

Rooms are reasonable, shower is slow to drain, top of toilet cistern is cracked. Stair carpets look dirty not cleaned properly. Breakfast bacon was overcooked for my liking and was overall to salty, owner seasons the food whilst he cooks nor put a good thing for people with high blood pressure and diabetes. Never know a place to season when cooking breakfast especially as so much salt in processed food such as baked beans and bacon .

Handy for the station & University and that's where the positives end. The place smelt musty, the room was unclean and dated, and there was lots of noise from the outside street. The shower was moudy, the door of which wouldn't close properly and, being in the room itself with no ventilation caused the place to steam up. Private toilet- underside of seat was dirty. Sink loose at the wall. Kettle dirty and the handle fell off! Whole place is crying out for a major refurb and top-to-bottom deep clean. Big shock when the older reviews are so good here. Can't understand why it's become so bad.

Good location near the train station and the university. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. No noise whatsoever. The host was outstanding. Very polite and helpful. Keep up your good work! Thank you.
