What guests say
What a lovely stay The rooms were very cosy. We had the attic room, I had the side with sloping ceiling as husband is tall, the bed was super comfy. The soap and shampoo in the shower were luxurious. The expresso machine with pod was a nice touch. The biscuits were delicious. The restaurant was very friendly, especially Karen the manager she dealt with food intolerance issues and she was extremely friendly, staff were well trained Karen runs a great restaurant. The food was great. Thank you recommended

We had a fantastic stay at Admiral’s House by Maison Pierre in Plymouth. The setting is beautiful and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere throughout. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful. We had one very minor issue during our stay, which was dealt with quickly and professionally, and we really appreciated how attentive the team were. We stayed in a basement family room, which was very comfortable and worked well for our family. The only small suggestion we’d make would be to add a door separating the lounge area from the bedroom, as that would give adults a little more privacy in the evenings. One of the highlights of the stay was definitely the breakfast, which was exceptional and far exceeded expectations. Everything felt fresh, high quality and well thought out. Our only slight disappointment was the evening meal in the restaurant. While it was perfectly pleasant, it didn’t quite live up to the standard we were expecting based on the rest of the experience. That said, we would absolutely stay here again and would happily recommend it to others. Next time, we’d probably choose to dine elsewhere in the evening, but overall we had a really enjoyable stay.

The room was lovely in some aspects - big windows, comfortable, quiet, and beautifully furnished - but it was not very clean, including lots of dust, dirty windows, and a poo left behind in the toilet! 😭 There was also not a very nice smell throughout the stay so I assume there are plumbing issues. The staff were very pleasant and sent someone to clean the toilet, and offered dinner on the house to apologise, but I didn't really feel up to eating in the restaurant after the first impressions. This welcome gift made me chuckle.

I had a great stay at Admiral's House, and Matt and his team were excellent hosts. I was catching the boat back to Spain the following day and wanted to relax in Plymouth the night before. Not only was the room clean and the decor tastefully done in what is a very historic building, the location was spot on and only a 5-10min drive to the port. I enjoyed a drink in a local bar before returning to the Maison Pierre restaurant, where I enjoyed an evening meal and remained at the bar engaging with the friendly staff and other customers (despite the fact I was somewhat aphonic) until closing time. The included breakfast the following morning (again in the restaurant, which is just across the green from the accommodation) set me up perfectly for the day ahead. Parking is plentiful and included in the price. Security is also good. All in all, I was really impressed and will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Plymouth. Thanks and best wishes to Matt and the rest of the staff.
