About Glan-y-mor Camping Park

Tucked behind the dunes at Black Rock Sands, this sister site to the nearby touring park gives campers direct access to one of North Wales's most beloved beaches. The setting is genuinely special—golden sands stretch for miles, backed by the dramatic peaks of Snowdonia, and beach fishing draws devotees year-round. Fire pit rentals and logs are available on site, adding to the camping atmosphere, while the showers are praised for being both warm and spotlessly clean. Staff receive consistently warm mentions for their welcoming approach.

With facilities for caravans, motorhomes and tents across a generous pitch count, Glan-y-Mor makes a solid base for walkers, cyclists and watersports enthusiasts. That said, some visitors note that toilet and shower blocks can feel stretched during busier periods, so arriving early in peak season is wise. Open March through October, with sailing, golf and climbing all close at hand.

Friendly welcome on arrival from Jan and their dog. The location was perfect, situated by the dunes with beach just the other side. We were able to drive onto the beach(£8.50 for the day) and enjoy a relaxing day! The winds were quite strong and uprooted our tent pegs during night but speaking with Jan in the morning she had pegged them back down for us. The location was stunning overlooking the mountains. We were lucky enough to be able to book another night. Would highly recommend this campsite as it had all the necessary facilties available and we could park our car next to our tent. We will definitely be returning!

My partner, our dogs, and I have stayed here several times, and every visit reminds us just how much we love this place. John and Jan are fantastic hosts who always make us feel welcome, and the campsite is exceptionally well maintained with great, simple facilities that have everything you need. The location is perfect too – just a 2-minute walk from Black Rock Sands beach, making it ideal for us and our dogs. We always sleep so well here (it must be the sea air!), and every time we visit we notice improvements being made around the site, which is lovely to see. Thank you again for another wonderful stay. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing break by the coast. See you again in the future!

This is a lovely site just behind the dunes, giving easy access to the beach through a private gate. I stayed in a campervan in early May when the site was not busy. The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean and the showers have loads of piping hot water. There is a good washing-up area with two sinks. The proprietors are friendly and helpful and rates are very reasonable. Would definitely visit again.

My thoughts on this campsite ..... Jen was extremely rude to us when our dog slipped her lead off as we were putting our tents up. By saying if your dogs aren't on a leash we'd be kicked off site straight away. Plus barbed wire around the fence line of the site and kids touching it with not a warning sign in sight. Not enough facilties on site regarding toilets and private showers for the amount of campers on site. Jen comes across as Nasty and aggressive but her partner john was polite.....
