Portree itself is close by, with pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach, and the wider area offers walking, fishing, golf and watersports for those wanting to fill the days. Luggage storage is available for anyone breaking up a longer Skye itinerary. It's a comfortable, attentively run base with food good enough to plan an evening around.

Wonderful view of the bay and 5 minutes walk into Portree. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Murdo upon arrival, and some great advice on sightseeing activities. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with extremely comfortable beds and thoughtful extras provided as part of our room rate. However, the best part was the breakfast and dinner. Simply outstanding food by Scott the Chef and fantastic service by Murdo. This place is up there with top 5* star hotels and we can’t recommend it enough. Thank you to Murdo and Scott for a fabulous stay! You are a lovely family and we were sad to leave.

This is such a special place with lasting memories for a lifetime. A local family built and runs this immaculate well thought out small inn/B&B. Your stay includes both breakfast and dinner and both were amazing. The son, a skilled and creative chef, turns out memorable local and innovative dinners that leave a lasting impression. An extensive wine selection and other spirits will complement your meal perfectly. Breakfast is fresh, local and delicious. Murdo the owner could not be more accommodating to make your stay as comfortable as possible and will cater to your every need. You should not miss out on this gem of a place. The town is a quick few minute walk away. Our family will walk away with fond memories for a lifetime.

This is the "if only I could give 10 stars" review. Wow. Murdo is the perfect host. Highly communicative and helpful even before we arrived. It is like you are visiting a relative when you enter. I can't say enough about Scott and his cooking skills. Simply the highest quality food cooked with forethought and to perfection. You could not do better than to stay here during your Isle of Skye sojourn. The house is also beautifully appointed as are the rooms.

10 stars!! One of the best guesthouses we've ever stayed at. A beautiful modern boutique hotel with only 4 suites. They have a private guest-only restaurant that serves incredible locally sourced cuisine. The owner, Murdo, was an incredible host, providing us with sightseeing recommendations and the local history of the area. His scon, Scott, worked at a Michelin rated restaurant, and brings his culinary expertise alive every day. The newly built hotel looks out over Loch Portree and is a short 5 min walk from town. One of the top 5 stays we've ever had in any country for best value and service.
