Skye Haven

Skye Haven B&B was a pleasure to stay at. David, Anna, and Ruby (our wonderful dog host) run an amazing establishment and even though some might question the distance from town centre to bed, its the perfect walk to cap off an amazing meal or day should you choose to head down that way. Our rooms were clean and well kept, and flowers greet you at the window every day you come home (which I thought was a really nice tiny detail). The bathrooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. Breakfast every morning consisted of toast, spreads like jam, marmalade, and butter, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, and even cereals/oatmeals should you please. Juice and milk await you while David and Anna grab fresh coffee and tea for you. Our hosts did ask to make sure we were comfortable with a dog host before letting Ruby greet us but once established, Ruby won our hearts instantly. I hope that when I return to Portree in the future that I get hosts as gracious and wonderful as David, Anna, and Ruby! David and Anna were extremely knowledgeable on the town and helped us decide where to eat, where to go for lunch, which shops to visit, etc. They truly were the bests hosts we could ask for.

I had such a lovely experience staying at Skye Haven! I would highly recommend this adorable and accommodating B&B. The hosts are so lovely (especially Ruby 😉). Everything was clean and very comfortable. They provide a nice variety of food for breakfast. I have a gluten allergy and the host took special care to make sure I had substitutes. Can’t recommend this place enough!! :)

We had a lovely time staying two nights at Skye Haven BnB. The rooms were quaint, clean, and served all the purposes. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and for us to have their family dog greeting us each day helped cure some of the homesickness we feel while traveling away from our dogs. The location is about a 12 minute walk into the city center of Portree. Completely accompanied by a sidewalk making the walk safe and easy. I would recommend having a car while visiting Isle of Skye or at least joining a tour. We used Rabbie’s which booked our accommodations at Skye Haven! If you have an option to stay at Skye Haven, we highly recommend it.

Can not recommend this B&B more! Our hosts were accommodating and kind. Ruby (their Labrador) was a welcomed addition to our stay--so sweet! Staying here was a lovely experience!
