About Portsmouth Marriott Hotel

Portsmouth Marriott Hotel sits at North Harbour, a short drive north of the city centre and close to the M27, making it a practical choice for drivers and business visitors as well as families wanting easy access to the wider Hampshire coast.

Rooms are spacious by Portsmouth standards, with the hotel's leisure club offering an indoor pool, gym and sauna that suit a longer stay or a family with children to entertain outside of sightseeing hours.

Its out-of-town position means a short drive or taxi ride is needed to reach the Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays, but it is compensated for by generous parking and quieter surroundings than the harbourside hotels.

Wow! A few staff stood out but one in particular he is a young Spanish looking young man with glasses working the bar area over this weekend 25/07 and 26/07 exceptional customer service. Very good attitude, positive demeanor really pleasant experience. I am sensitive to poor customer service. This service received by the staff mentioned above. Definitely 10/10 experience 😃 I cannot fault this place. One morning bar staff could smile 😃 but love this place definitely good value for money 💰 🤑 💸

Its a bit out of the way. First time ive been. But. Its a child friendly wonderland of events and people. Staff are amazing! People are trustworthy. Rooms. They have rooms with showers. Or rooms with baths. 156 at managers discretion. 256 online. Best Barbados baboa rum ive ever had behind the bar. Id go again on a thursday. Only reason a low room score is the price compared to the location.

Great 1-night stay for shopping at Gunwharf. The room was clean with nice air conditioning. A big plus was Sunday breakfast running until 11 AM, allowing for a relaxed morning (though it got a bit crowded). Easy parking(£5) and being just a 3-minute drive from Tesco was fantastic!

Okay so no swimming pool! It’s been concreted up now. The beds are so hard I’ve slept on floors that are softer. The bed sheets sounds like bin bags every time you move. But it’s clean, big bathroom and room you can get Netflix if you have account. The staff are lovely. Food very expensive for what it is I had flat iron chicken and chips cost £20 and there was no veg or bread so just stupid expensive for very little. Cocktails £12-£14 again more on expensive side for not that much. Gym good. I think it’s great for location but really need to invest in some new beds and then I don’t think I would mind paying extra for the food/drinks.
