Bettws Cedewain is a quiet village in Powys, within reach of Newtown and positioned for exploring mid-Wales countryside. Bechan Brook Hut sits on the owners' land, accessed by footbridge over the stream that gives it its name. You have sole use of this single, ground-floor structure, which combines sleeping, cooking, eating and living into one thoughtfully arranged space, with a separate shower room.
The hut sleeps two in a double bed and includes a wood-burning stove (initial logs provided), electric heating, an electric hob for cooking, and a patio looking onto the brook. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included. There is parking for one car on site and a bike store. The village has a pub and shop within walking distance. No smoking inside the hut.
This setup suits a short rural retreat or as a base for the surrounding area—Snowdonia is roughly an hour away, and the Shropshire Hills lie just over the border. The immediate landscape offers scope for walks and exploring local history, from prehistoric sites to castles.
