Shepherds Retreat – Tilly is a shepherd's hut situated on a working farm in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park area, near Brecon. The single open-plan space contains a double bed, a wood-burning stove, and a seating area. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, and one car can park on site. The hut is yours alone.
Cooking happens in a shared external kitchen equipped with a gas cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer. The shared shower room has a shower cubicle and toilet. A garden area with sitting-out furniture overlooks the surrounding farmland. The location suits couples or solo travellers who want a quiet rural base. No smoking inside.
Llangorse Lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales, lies nearby and draws paddleboarders, kayakers and walkers. The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons offer hiking and cycling routes, including trails to Pen y Fan. The market town of Brecon is a short drive away, and the village itself has two pubs and a shop. This part of Wales is known for clear night skies.

What a hidden gem of a glamping spot! Such a cute shepherds hut, well equipped with outdoor kitchen and fire pit, so secluded, located within amazing nature, fields, woods, streams... Only sheep around, and the lovely host only checked in if all good and we had a nice chat, then enjoyed ourselves in total privacy. Thank you!
