Little tardis of a pub, at the start of the climb to Dinas Castle. We love these old charm pubs, that have not been sanitised, and tell a story. Owners were super welcoming, without being overwhelming, happy to chat and give info on the local attractions. Food was good pub grub, and way better than what you get in some "gastro pubs" and very reasonably priced. All served with a good selection of beers/ciders, as you sit on the patio looking up at the hill you've just climbed. Brilliant

What a convenient little stay! We booked here due to doing the Dragons Back walk, and the start being right on the doorstop. The inn owner was so lovely and friendly, made us feel so welcome. A busy place for hikers and a great place to stay for a good nights sleep. Small selection of food but certainly ticks most boxes...the toasted sandwiches for lunch were 10/10. Pleased with our recent stay...thanks!

Came here with my hiking group before and after our hike. Out of all the spots we’ve been across the UK, the staff here were the nicest and most friendliest people I’ve ever met! Super accommodating for our big group and the food/cakes were delicious! Thanks Julie & Co :)

Super lovely, friendly, fun owners who work very hard to make sure that everyone is comfortable and happy. Tasty selection of food , large portions. Dog friendly. Logburners. Friendly locals , brilliant efficient, fun barmaid. Campervan friendly but need to book as small carpark which fills up with walkers. Thank you Julie and family for your hospitality, we had a fabulous stay and will be back soon!
